So, how do you start a conversation?  With “Hello”.  Then you move on to “My name is…” and “What is your name?”  And then you end the conversation with “See you later.”  And this seems like a good place to start with your Hindi lessons.

Thank you so much. My daughter is marrying a fine young man whose parents are from India, and there will be quite a crowd at the wedding. As the father of the bride, I will be asked to say a few words, and the greatest tribute I thought I could make was to take the time to learn and to say some words in Hindi. Aapka Bahut Bahut Shukriya. You did a wonderful job. Ralph Maltese

I work at an airport in Ohio. I talk to many people from all over the world on a daily basis. I enjoy greeting people in their native languages. I have picked up some simple greetings and introductions in about 4 languages so far. I love to see the look of pleasant surprise when I speak to people from India in Hindi. ( I know a little Tamil as well.)
The children look at me in surprise and ask “Are you Indian?” (I am a black female!)
I am really enjoying learning Hindi. I hope that I can learn more in a short period of time.

To my great delight, I’ ve discovered this site. I’m from Russia, study foreign languages as English and German at the Pedagogical Institute. I’m closely acquainted with the articulation of English sounds.I think one must know it to pronounce the sounds properly.I like the way you teach the pronunciation.Hindi-speakers pronounce every sound distincly , so if you have a good ear you’ll catch it. Thank you ever so much for such a valuable site. I’m sure it will help me to learn Hindi! Tanks a million!!!

thank you for this website. i am a college student interested in south asian politics and religion, but my school is too small to offer formal courses in hindi. this is a great resource for learning the rudiments of the language; i’m sure i will be back often in the coming months for more!
