Now let us go through sentences 6-10 of Aarti’s introduction which you heard in full on March 9, 2009. (Sentences 1-5 were explained on March 10, 2009.)

Sentence 6:

भारत छोड़ा लेकिन भारत की रूट्स नहीं।

I left India but not my Indian roots.

भारत – India

छोड़ा – left

लेकिन – but

भारत की – India of

रूट्स – roots

नहीं – not

 

Sentence 7:

मुझे अपने बच्चों को पूर्ण रूप से हिन्दी सिखानी थी जिससे वे बोलने के साथ हिन्दी पढ़ और भी लिख सकें।

 

I had to teach Hindi completely to my children so that they could speak Hindi along with read and write.
