Today we are going to have another “fun and games” episode, using a word find (also known as “word search”). This is where you have to find a list of words in a matrix of letters. After finding them, circle them.

Let us hear the directions in Hindi:
नीचे दिये चौकोर में से ये शब्द बनाइये।
Make the listed words in the box below.
नीचे – below
दिये – given (listed)
चौकोर – box
में – in
से – from
ये – these
शब्द – words
बनाइये – make
Now let us look at the words you are to find.
कब – when?
जब – when
तब – then
सब – all
सच – truth (really?)
रस – juice
कम – less
कल – tomorrow (also could mean yesterday)
बस – enough (bus)
जल – water
फल – fruit
मत – don’t (as in a blunt command like to a child)
Now let us look at some example sentences using some of these words:
कब – when?
आप कब जाएँगे? (When will you go?)
जब – when
जब तुम जाओ कृपया दरवाज़ा बंद करो। (When you go, please shut the door.)
तब – then
जब मैं आऊँ तब तुम खाना।
(When I come then you eat.)
सब – all
आज हम सब खुश हैं। (Today we are all happy.)
सच – truth (really?)
सदा सच बोलो। (Always say the truth.)
रस – juice
मुझे मोसम्बी का रस चाहिये। (I want orange juice.)
कम – less
चीनी कम चाहिये। (I want less sugar.)
कल – tomorrow (also could mean yesterday)
मैं कल आऊँगा। (I will come tomorrow. (spoken by man)) A woman say मैं कल आऊँगी।

Hi Nathan, Seeta Raam
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your hard work of bring in forth this website. I love reading the Ramayan and sing hindi bhajan but don’t understand it very much.I want to learn Hindi so bad, so I think these podcast are great. I have looked around a bit and will start learning more soon. Thank you again.

its really helpful to go through your mail i speak hindi.
its really a great effort by you to develop the national language to the people who is eager to learn .at the same time some of the lessons are not covered properly with the English meaning and pronunciation.so kindly look intothis matter which will be helpful to learn more easier.
