Today, let us take a look at ध.
How does it look?
Backwards three with a curl on the top most part, with no line above it. The bottom line runs into a verticle line that does have a horizontal line above it.
How to type it?
If you are using a US English keyboard with the standard Devanagari/Hindi layout, then you would press “O”

Words
Here are some words that have ध at the Beginning
धन – property, wealth, money, funds
धक – shock
धड़ – firm, hard, strong
धत – bad habit; weakness
धमक – drumming or thumping sound
धड़क – beating
धक-धक – sound of beating (as in the sound of a beating heart)
Now try listening for ध in the middle of the following words:
चौधड़ी – headman of the village
Listen for ध at the end
दगध – to burn
अनुरोध – request, appeal
With other vowels
धँधार – fire
धंधा – craft, occupation, business
आधार – base
दधि – yogurt
आधा – half
अनुराधा – a common lady’s name (also: stars in libra, lunar mansion)
