Part 1: Explanation

Often you will need to use a sentence about what you want. For example:”I want to go.” “He wants to read” etc.In this lesson we will learn how to make these type of.For example.

I want to go.

मैं जाना चाहता हूँ.

मैं =I

जाना =to go

चाहता हूँ = want + (be verb)

Part 2: Examples

Let us see some examples .

1) I want to eat now.

मैं अब खाना चाहता हूँ.

2) Rakesh wants to kill you.

राकेश तुम्हें मारना चाहता है।

3) They want to play the game.

वे खेल खेलना चाहते हैं।

4) The students want to know it.

छात्र जानना चाहते हैं।

5) The parents always want to sacrifice for their children.

माता पिता हमेशा अपने बच्चों के लिए बलिदान देना चाहते हैं।

6) This man wants to go India.

यह आदमी भारत जाना चाहता है।

7) Ayesha wants to lose weight

आयशा वजन घटाना चाहती है।

8) Ratan wants to go to market.

रतन बाज़ार जाना चाहता है।

9) Pradip wants to spend his holidays in India.

प्रदीप अपनी छुट्टियां भारत में बिताना चाहता है।

10) I always want to adopt an orphane .

मैं हमेशा एक अनाथ बच्चेको अपनाना चाहता हूँ ।

Part 3:  Quiz

Now it is your time to practice.  I will tell you a sentence in Hindi and give you a little time to think of the answer before I tell you.

Hindi -> English

1) मैं अपने जीवन में सफल होना चाहता हूँ ।

If you said “I want to be successful in my life” you are correct.

2) आप दूसरों का ध्यान आकर्षित करना चाहते हैं ।

If you said “You want to get attention from others” you are correct.

3) निशा अपनी मौजूदा नौकरी छोड़ना चाहती है ।

If you said “Nisha wants to leave her current job.” you are correct.

Now try to think of the Hindi translation for these English sentences:

English ->Hindi

1) She wants to be happy.

If you said ” वह खुश होना चाहती है। ” you are correct.

2) Jatin wants to be in his office on time .

If you said “जतिन समय पर अपने कार्यालय में होना चाहता है । “ you are correct

3) Kajol wants to study.

If you said ” काजोल पड़ना चाहती है। ” you are correct
