कि means ‘that’ or ‘or’. It is used to denote reason or to denote ‘or’ or to report indirect speech. It is useful for connecting to parts of a sentence together. “I was thinking THAT you would be coming.” See how the “that” connects the “I was thinking” with the “You would be coming.”?
