This is a masculine gender noun that does not end in the “aa” ending. There is no difference between the singular and plural forms of this word.

How will you tell if you are talking about one bed or more than one bed? You will have to look at the other words in the sentence. If there is a number before it, then that makes it simple.

But even if there is no number, you can see a difference in the form of some adjectives. Look at these examples:

No, that is Ram’s bed.
नहीं, वह राम का पलंग है।

Is there a bed in that room?
क्या एक पलंग उस कमरे में है?

Yes, there is a bed in that room.
हाँ, एक पलंग उस कमरे में है।

My bed is longer than your bed, but you are taller than me. [When talking to a man.]
मेरा पलंग आपके पलंग से लंबा है लेकिन आप मुझ से लंबे हैं।

My bed is longer than your bed, but you are taller than me. [When talking to a woman.]
मेरा पलंग आपके पलंग से लंबा है लेकिन आप मुझ से लंबी हैं।

The bed is dirty.
पलंग गंदा है।

There is no bed in my room.
मेरे कमरे में पलंग नहीं है।
