{ Suresh 26} :Letter to a Girl एक लड़की को पत्र – ( हिंदी पाठ  संख्या .26)

This lesson was originally prepared by me for Mr. Jakki  John based on his sudden request almost a  fortnight back.    He wanted me to draft out a letter in Hindi , to be addressed to his friend in Mumbai.  This was to be explained to him in  Hindi (pronunciation) and  English.

Just to enable Hindi learner to comprehend better, I have indicated Devangari  first , then transliteration and at last translation for each of the sentences.

Here is an effort made by me.  Hope you will like it.

Dear Devi

(तुम्हारा  प्यारा पत्र  सुबह में आशा की एक किरण की तरह आ गया है |  )

Tumhara pyaara patra subah mein aasha ki  ek kiran  ke tarah aa gaya hai .

Your loving letter in morning has come like a ray of hope.

तुम्हारा सुंदर पत्र हमारे प्यार की मीठी सुगंध में के रूप में मेरे ऊपर छा गया है |

( Tumhara sundar patra humare pyaar kee meethi sugandh ke roop mein mere upar chha gaya hai.)

Your beautiful letter has enveloped me in the sweet fragrance of our love.

तुम्हारे पत्र ने मुझे अपार खुशी दी है|

(Tumhare patra ney mujhe apaar khushi dee hai.)

You letter has given me immense happiness.

मैं तुम्हारे प्यार में डूब गया हूँ |

(Main tumhare pyaar mein doob gaya huun.)

I am inundated /immersed  in your love.

तुम्हारे  प्यारे पत्र ने मेरे विषाद को दूर कर दिया है जिसने मेरा पहले पीछा किया |

(Tumhare pyarey ptrt ne mere vishaad ko door kar diya hai jisney mera pahle peecha kiya.)

Your affectionate letter had dispelled the depression that hounded me earlier.

यहाँ सब कुछ ठीक है सिवाय इसके कि तुम मुझे  इतनी बुरी तरह से याद आती हो |

Yahan sab kuch ttheek hai sivay ki tum mujhey itnee buree tarah se yaad aatee ho .

(Everything is fine here except that I miss you so badly.)

मैं सभी अद्भुत समय याद कर रहा हूँ जो हमने एक साथ बिताया है |

(Main sabhi adbhut samay yaad kar raha hun jo humney ek saath bitaya hai.)

I am remembering all the wonderful time which we have spent together.

मैं तुम्हें देखने के लिए तरस रहा हूँ |

(Main tumhein dekhney ke liye taras raha hun.)

I am longing to see you

तुम्हारी यादें मुझे प्रफुल्ल रखती हैं |

(Tumharee yadein mujhe ujjwal rakhti hain.)

Your memories keep  me radiant.

मैं नींद न आने से परेशान हूँ |

(Main neend na  aaney sey  pareshaan hun .)

My sleep is disturbed.

हाल में, मैं अपने दीक्षांत समारोह के दिन पर ली गयी तस्वीरें देख रहा था जब हमने अपनी प्रबंधन की डिग्री प्राप्त की |

(Haal mein, main apney deekshaant samaaroh ke din pare lee gayee tasweerein dekh raha ttha jab humney  apnee prabandhan ki degree prapt kee.)

Recently, I was looking at the photographs taken on our convocation day when  we received our management degree.

क्या सब कुछ घर पर ठीक है?

(Kya sab kuch ghar par ttheek hai ? )

Is all well at home?

मैं दिन गिनती कर रहा हूँ  जब मैं तुमसे मिलूँगा |

(Main din ginati kar rah hun jab main tumsey milunga.)

I am counting the days when I will meet you.

मैंने अपने प्यार के बारे में अपने माता पिता को बता दिया है |

(Mainey apney pyaar ke barey mein apney maata pita ko bata diya hai.)

I have informed my parents about our love

क्या तुमने भी यह बताया?

(Kya tumney bhee yah bataaya ?)

Have you also informed this?

मैं तुम्हें मुंबई में देखने के लिए इच्छुक    (or  आतुर or उत्सुक   or  व्यग्र ) हूँ |

(Main tumhein Mumbai mein dekhney ke liye  icchuk( or aatur or utsuk or vyagra)  huun.)

I am eager(anxious)  to see you in Mumbai.

अगस्त १, २०१० को चेन्नई से शुरू किये जाने वाला यात्रा के लिए मेरे टिकट का आरक्षण किया गया है |

(August 1, 2010 ko Chennai se shuru kiya jaane wala yaatra ke liye  merey tickat  ka aarakshan  kiya gaya hai.)

The ticket has been  reserved for my  travel to be undertaken   on Aug 1.2010 from Chennai.

तब वी टी स्टेशन  पहुँचने (reaching)  /आगमन(arrival) पर, मैं सीधे बांद्रा तुम्हारे घर तुम्हारे माता पिता को देखने जाऊंगा |

(Tab VT station par aagaman par, main seedhey Baandra tumhare ghar tumhare maata pita   ko dekhney jaunga.)

Then on arrival at VT station, I will directly visit your house at Bandra to see your parents.

मैं उनका आशीर्वाद पहले चाहता हूँ  ताकि  वैवाहिक संबंध मेरे माता पिता द्वारा उनके साथ परामर्श कर तय किया जा सकता है |

(Main unka aashrwaad pahely chahta hun taaki vaivahik sambandh merey maata pita dwara unkey saath paramarsh kar tay kiya jaa sakta hai.)

I seek their blessings first so that alliance can be fixed by my parents in consultation with them.

मैं  २९ नवम्बर २०१०   को शादी करना चाहूँगा |

(Main 29 November 2010 ko shaadi karna chahunga.)

I would love to get married on 29^th November 2010

वह एक शुभ दिन है |

(Vah ek  shubh din hai.)

That is an auspicious day.

तुमने मुझे बताया था कि कुछ ५०० मेहमान एवं रिश्तेदार दोनों पक्षों से शादी के लिए होंगे |

(Tumney mujhey batayaa ttha ki kuch 500 mehmaan evam rishtedaar  donon pakshon se shaadi ke liye hongey.)

You had informed me that there will be some 500 guests and relatives from both the sides for the marriage.

हिंदू शादी मुंबई के सिद्धि विनायक मंदिर में २९ नवम्बर २०१० को होगी |

(Hindu shaddi Mumbai key Siddhi Vinayk mandir mein 29 November 2010 ko hogi.)

The  Hindu  marriage will be performed  in Siddhi Vinayak temple, Mumbai on 29^th November 2010 .

बाद में ३०  नवम्बर २०१० को चेन्नई के संथोम गिरिजे में एक भव्य स्वागत होगा  जहाँ  लगभग १००० अतिथि/ संबंधी/  रिश्तेदार आयेंगे |

(Baad mein  30 November 2010 ko Chennai ke santhome girijey mei ek bhabya swagat hoga jahan lagbhag 1000 atithi/sambandhee/rishtedaar aayenge)

L.ater , on 30^th Nov. 2010   a grand reception  will be conducted in Chennai at the Santhome Church  where around 1000 guests/relatives would come.

इसकी व्यवस्था होटल में की गई है |

(Iski  byavastha  Hotel  Taaj mein kee gayee hai .)

It has been arranged at Hotel Taj.

हम अपने स्वयं  सुसज्जित नए घर में १ दिसम्बर २०१० को प्रवेश करेंगे |

(Hum apney swayng sussajit  naye ghar mein 1 December 2010 ko pravesh karenge.)

We shall move into our   new self-contained furnished  flat on  1^st December  2010.

हम सिंगापुर सुहागरात के लिए क्रिसमस की छुट्टियों के दौरान  जायेंगे |

(Ham Singapore suhaagraat ke liye krismas ke chuttiyon ke dauraan jaayenge.)

We would go for honeymoon  to Singapore during X’mas holidays.

आशा है कि यह  तुम्हे मान्य है|

(Aaasha hai ki yah tumein maanya hai.)

तुम्हारा काम कैसा चल रहा है?

Tumhara kaam kaisa chal raha hai ?)

How is your work going on?

मुझे आशा है कि बैंक तुम्हारा  चेन्नई के लिए स्थानांतरण हमारे शादी  के बाद करेगा |

(Mujhe aasha hai ki Bank tumhara Chennai ke liye sthanantaan humare shaadi ke baad karega.)

I hope that  the bank will transfer you to Chennai after our marriage.

कृपया तुरंत तुम्हारा जवाब भेजो  |

(Kripya turant tumhara jawaab bhejo.)

Please send in your response  immediately.

तुम्हारा जवाब मुझे बहुत भावनात्मक समर्थन  देगा |

Tumhaa jawab mujhe bahut bhaavanatmak samarthan dega.
