2. मैने अपनी दीदी को एक पत्र लिखा है  |

(  Maine apnee deedi ko ek patr likha hai.)

I have written a letter to my elder sister.
3. वह गई |

( Vah gai.)

She went.

4. कमल  रो  रहा था   |

(   Kamal row raha tha. )

Kamal was crying/weeping.
5. मैं उससे डर गया था |

(   Main ussey dar gaya tha. )

I was scared of him.
6. इसे बाहर फेंक दो |

(  Isey baahar phenk do.)

Throw this out.
7. जीतेन्द्र   खांसता रहा  |

(  Jitendra khansta raha.)

Jitendra kept on coughing.
8. मुझे पेट में दर्द हो रहा है |

(Mujhey payt mein dard ho raha hai.)

I am having pain  in my stomach.
9. कौन जाने कब क्या होगा |

(Kaun jaaney kab, kya hoga. )

Who knows what will happen, when?
10. मैं अभी कार्यालय से बाहर आया हूँ |

(Main abhee kaaryalay se baahar aaya huin.  )

I have just come out of the office.
11. मुझे से सदा सच बोलो |

Mujhsey sada sach bolo.)

Always tell me the truth.
12. मैं आपसे शीघ्र कमरा छोड़ देने की विनती करता हूँ |

(Main aapsey sheeghra karma chod deney kee vinati karta huin. )

I request you to leave the room immediately.

13. मैं रविवार को घर में रहूँगा l

(Main raviwaar ko ghar mein rahunga.)

I will be at home on Sunday.     or पर(at) or घर में(in house)
14 उसे अन्दर आने को कहो  |

(Usey andar aaney ko kaho . )

Ask him to come inside .
15. झूठ बोलना पाप है  |

(Jhooth  bolna paap hai. )

it is sin to tell a lie.
16. यह पुराना समाचार है  |

(Yah puraana samachaar hai. )

It is an old news.
17. मैने एक सप्ताह से कपडे नहीं धोये हैं |

( Mainey ek saptaah se kapadeynahin dhoye hain.)

I have not washed the clothes for a week

18. कृपया नाराज मत होयें |

(kripaya naaraaj (Krodhit)mat hoyen. )

Please do not get angry.
19.  कभी किसी से घृणा मत करो |

(Kabhee kisee se ghrina mat karo.)

Never hate anyone.
20. शीशा नाज़ुक है |

(Sheesha nazuk hai.)

The glass is fragile.
21 बच्चे भोले होते हैं  |

(Bacchey bholay hotay hain. )

The children are innocent/naive.
22. क्रोध में इन्सान अँधा (blind) हो जाता है |

(The person  becomes blind in anger.)

Krodh mein insaan andha ho jaata hai.
23. पड़ोसियों के साथ दोस्ती (मित्रता )को बनाए रखा जाना चाहिए  |

(Padosiyon ke saath dosti(mitrata) ko banaye rakha jaana  chahiye.)

Friendship should be maintained with the neighbours.
24. रेल शाम को आयेगी  |

(Rail sham ko aayegee.)

The train will come in the evening.
25. मैं कहीं भी जा सकता हूँ |  or सकती हूँ | (saktee huun means feminine)

(Main kaheen bhee jaa sakta huin )

I can go anywhere.
26. मैं कल  सुबह छ बजे  उठूँगा |

Main kal subah cchh bajey subah oothunga.

(  I will get up  tomorrow at  6  O’clock in the morning. )
27.  इस दुनिया से गरीबी  उन्मूल (eradication) आवश्यक  है or गरीबी खत्म किया जाना चाहिए|

(Is duniya se gareebee unmoolan aavashyak hai or Gareebee khatm kiya jaana chhiye) )

The poverty  must be eradicated from this world.
28. मेरे मामले में   हस्तक्षेप  मत करो |

(Merey mamley mein hastkshep mat karo.)

Do not  interfere (or intervene ) in my matter.
29. गरीबों का उपहास मत करो |

(Gareebon ka uphaas mat karo.)

Do not taunt at the poor.
30. कुम्हार मिटटी के बर्तन (pot/utensil) बनाता है |

( Kumhaar mitti ke bartan banaata hai. )

The potter makes the pot with clay.
31. कृपया मेरे घर पर शनिवार को आयें |

(  Kripya mere ghar shaniwaar ko aayen.)

Please come to my house on Saturday.
32. मैं  घर देर  से आया  (came)  |

(Main ghar der se aaya.)

I came home late.
33. लगातार बारिश (rain) हो रही है |

(Lagaataar barish ho rahee hai. )

It is raining incessantly.
34. मेरे मित्र के पिता  अब जीवित (alive) नहीं है |

(  Mere mitr key pita ab jeevit nahin hai.)

My friend’s father is not alive now.
35. अपने दिमाग का उपयोग करो |

(Apney dmaag ka upyog karo. )

Use  own brain.
36. सभी भारतवासी प्रायः हाथ से खाना खाते हैं |

(Sabhee Bharatwasi prayah haath se khana khatey hain.)

All the Indians often eat  with hand.    अक्सर aksar also means often
37. मेरी पोती विद्यालय में पढ़ती हैं | ( or   studies अध्ययन करती है |)

( Meri poti vidhyalay mein padhtee( or adhyyan kartee) hai. )

My grand-daughter  reads(studies) in school.
38. वह दौडते  हुए  आया |

(Vah daudtey huey aaya .)

He came running.
39 हम बड़ी कठिनाई (मुश्किल –mushkil) से हवाई अड्डे पर समय में पहुंचे|  )

Hum badee  kathinaayee (mushkil) se hawai addey par  samay mein pahunchey.)

We reached  at the airport on time with great difficulty  .
40 घोड़ी सरपट दौड़ रही है |

(Ghodee sarpat daud rahee hai. )

The mare is galloping.
41. अंगूर खट्टे हैं |

( Angoor khatey hain.)

The grapes are sour.
42. मुझे धोखा (deceive) मत दो |

(Mujhey dhokha mat do)

. Do not deceive (cheat ) me.
43. गरीबों पर दया करो  |

(Garebon par daya karo.)

Have mercy on the poor.
44. पुस्तक मेज पर है |

(Pustak mej par hai. )

The book is on the table.
45. मुझे शुद्ध जल चाहिए |

(Mujhey shuddh jal chahiye)

I need pure water.
46. वह  घर के ऊपर से अचानक गिर गया |

(Vah ghar key oopar se achanak gir gaya.)

He  suddenly fell down from top of the house.
47. उसके पेट में दर्द है |

(Uskey payt mein dard hai.)

He has pain in the stomach.
