HINDI LESSON No.69 = पाठ उनहत्तर (६९ ) छोटे वाक्य  (Chhotey vaakya) Small sentences

Devanagari Transliteration Translation

1. बलराम व्यायाम कर  | Balram, Vyayam  kar,  Balram, do the exercise.

2. हरीश, गड़बड़ मत कर | Hareesh , gadbad mat kar. Hareesh , do not mess up.

3. पवन, पत्र पढ़ | Pawan, Ptr padh. Pawan, read the letter.

4. जगन ,महल तक चल  | Jagan, mahal tak chal. Jagan, walk upto the palace.

5. नयन, बर्तन मत पकड़  | Nayan, bartan mat pakad. Nayan, do not hold the utensil/vessel.

6. जमाल ,शरबत चख | Jamaal, sharbat chakh. Jamal, taste the juice.

7. अफजल ,गर्दन मत घुमा | Afjal, garden mat ghuma. Afjal, do not twist/turn  the neck.

8. यहाँ थूकना मना है | Yahan thookna mana hai. The spitting is forbidden(prohibited) here.

9. सपन, नहर तक चल  | Sapan ,nahar tak chal. Sapan walk upto the canal.

10. रमेश, अजगर मत मार | Ramesh ajgar mat maar. Ramesh, don’t kill the python.

11. कैलाश, नमक मत फेंक | Kailash, namak mat fenk. Kailash, do not throw the salt.

12. आरती, कपडे पहन  | Aarati , kapdey pahan. Aarati,wear the dress.

13. आरती पोशाक डाल | Aarati, poshaak daal. Aarati, put on the dress.

14. कमला, बाजार से गाजर ला | Kamla baajaar se, gaajar laa. Kamala,bring the carrot from the market.

15. जाल बिछा | Jaal bichha. Spread the trap/net.

16. सबक सीख (sabak seekh) or पाठ याद कर | Paath yaad kar. Learn the lesson/ Memorize the lesson

17. नाटक मत कर | Naatak mat  kar.  Do not act .

18. भगवान को याद कर | Bhagwaan ko yaad kar. Remember the God.

19. पागल मत बन | Paagal mat ban. Do not become mad or Do not be crazy(सनकी-sankee) = सनकी मत बन

20. काला रंग भरो | kaala rang bharo. Fill in the black colour.

21. लाल कलम लाओ |Laal kalam laao. Bring the red pen.

22. अरुणा, गरम खाना परोसो | Aruna, garam khaana paroso. Aruna, serve the hot food.

23. राम ,वनवास मत जा |Ram vanwas mat jaa. Ram, do not go to exile.

24. एक गीत गाओ | Ek geet gao. Sing a song.

25. बांसुरी बजा  | Bansuree baja. Play the flute.

26. एक कहानी कह | Kahaanee kah. Tell a story.

27. एक कविता लिख | Ek kavita likh. Write a poem

28. एक छड़ी उठा  | Ek chhadee oothaa. Pick up a stick.

29. हाथों को साबुन से धो | Haaton ko saboon se dho. Wash hands with a soap.

30. जल मत छिड़क | Jal mat chidak. Do not sprinkle the water.

31. शुद्ध घी  खा  | Shuddh ghee kha. Eat pure clarified butter.

32. मछली को तंग मत कर | Machlee ko tang mat kar. Do not harass the fish.

33. पशुओं के प्राणों  की  रक्षा कर | pashuon key praanon kee raksha kar. Protect the lives of the cattle.

34. पन्ने मत पलट | Panney mat palat. Do not turn the pages.

35.  चुटकुला सुन | Chutkula soun. Listen to the jokes.

36. जादू देख  | Jadoo dekh. See the magic.

37. बुआ  आई | Bua aayee. Aunt(Father’s sister) came.

38. दादी एक पीली साडी   लाई | Dadi ek peelee saadee lai. Grandmother (father’s mother) brought a yellow saree.

39. दूकान से  खरीद |Dookaan sey khareed. Buy from the shop.

40. एक पुस्तक  बेच | Ek pustak bech. Sell a book.

41. क्रय विक्रय के बीच का अंतर बता | Kray-vikray ke beech ka antar bata. Tell the difference between purchase and sale.

42. पानी मत जाया कर  | Panee mat jaaya kar. Do not waste the water.

43. वजन मत उठा | Vajan mat ootha. Don’t lift the weight.

44. पतंग उड़ा | Patang ooda. Fly the kite. Kite is also known/called  as Guddee at several

places in India. Kite in English also means चील, a bird.

45. शीशा मत तोड़ | Sheesha mat tode. Do not break the glass.

46. आईना मत तोड़ | Ayeena mat tode. Do not break the mirror.

47. मैने सूर्योदय देखा |  Mainey suryoday dekha. I watched the sun-rise.

48. क्या तुमने  सूर्यास्त देखा ? Kya tumnay suryastk dekh? Did you see the sunset?

49. मैने एक व्रत रखा है  | Mainey ek vrat rakha hain. I have observed a fast.

50. चोर ने चोरी किया | Chor ney choree kiya . The thief stole.

51. हमें   समुद्र से मोती मिलता है | Hamein Samudr se moti milta hai. We get pearl from the sea.

52. मेरी स्वर्ण अंगूठी मूंगे  के साथ जड़ी है | Meri swarn angoothee moongay ke saath jadee hai. My golden ring is studded with coral.

53.  बावर्ची रसोई में खाना बनाता है | Baawarchi rasoi mein khaana banata hai. The Chef cooks food in the kitchen.

54. रसोइया बीमार है | Rasoiya beemaar hai. The cook is sick.

55. बढ़ई अस्वस्थ है | Baddhai aswasth hai. The carpenter is indisposed (or ill).

56. हीरे गर्दन की सुंदरता में वृद्धि करते हैं | Heeray garden kee sundarta mein vriddhi kartey hain. The diamonds enhance the beauty of the neck.

57. वह बहुत परेशान लग रही है | Vah bahut pareshaan lag rahee hai. She is looking terribly upset

58. यह एक घृणित काम है |Yah ek ghrinit kaam hai. It is a disgusting work. Kaam is also called कार्य (Kaary).

59. मौसी को बुला | Mausee ko bula. Call the aunt.

60. औजारों से मत खेलो | Aujaar se mat khelo. Do not play with the tools.

61.  गंगा नदी बहती है | Ganga nadee bahtee hai. The ganges river flows.

62. शराब मत पिया कर | Sharaab mat piya kar. Do not drink alcohol .

63. धूम्रपान और शराब पीना स्वास्थ्य के लिए हानिकारक है | Dhoomrapaan aur sharaab peena swasthya ke liye hanikaarak hai. Smoking and drinking is injurious to health  .

64. अपने दांतों को साफ़ कर  | Apnay dannton ko saaf kar. Clean your own teeth.

65. मैं जागा हूँ | Main jaaga hun. I am awake.

66. मैं रात भर नहीं सोया I Main raat bhar nahin soya. I did not sleep all night.

67. आवारागर्दी मत करो | Aawaragardee mat karo. Do not loiter.

68. हमें गुरुवार को छुट्टी है | Hamein guruwaar ko chhutti hai. We have holiday on Thursday.

69. मैं अपने मालिक के प्रति समर्पित हूँ Main apney maalik ke prati samarpit hun. | I am devoted to my boss.
