1. मै वित्त (finance) विभाग ( department ) में काम करती हूँ| -feminine

(Main vitt vibhaag mein kaam kartee huun. )

I work in the Finance department.

2.एक दर्जन (dozen)लाह  (lac) की  चूड़ियों (bangles) का दाम क्या है?

( Ek darjan laah kee chudiyon ka daam kya hai?)

What is the price of one dozen of lac bangles?

3.मैं एक चप्पल का जोड़ा (pair) खरीदना ( to purchase/buy) चाहता हूँ |

(Main ek chappal ka joda khareedna chahta huun. )

I want to buy a pair of slippers.

4.क्या आप दूध (milk) बेचते हैं ?

(Kya aap doodh bechtey hain?)

Do you sell milk?

5. मेरे कार  की चाबी (key) बटुए (wallet) से गायब है|

(Merey car kee chabee batuay se gaayab hai .)

My car’s key is missing from the  wallet.

PS: कुंजी(kunjee also means key)

6.क्या आपके पास – हिंदी की कोई पुस्तक (book)  है?

(Kya aapkay paas  Hindi kee koi pustak hai ?)

Do you have any Hindi book?

7.मैं जल्दी (hurry) में हूँ |

(Main jaldee mein huun. )

I am in a hurry.

8.मुझे ( I) और  (more ) कुछ नहीं  ( not ) चाहिए |

(Mujhe aur kuch nahin chahiye.)

I do not want  anything  more.

9.मुझे आशा है कि हम फिर (again) मिलेंगे |

(Mujhe aashaa hai kei ham phir milengey .)

I hope that we shall  meet  again.

10.आपने   सप्ताह (week) के अंत (end) में क्या किया ?

(Aapney saptaah key ant mein kya kiya? )

What did you do in the weekend ?

11.मैने जन्मदिन (birthday) के लिये एक उपहार (gift) खरीदा I

( Mainey janmdin ke liye ek uphaar khareeda.  )

I bought  a gift for the  birthday.

12.मैने  कुछ (some) मित्रों (friends) के साथ एक चलचित्र  (movie)  देखा|

(Mainey kuch mitron ke saath ek chalchitr dekha.)

I saw a movie with some friends .

13.मैने  एक पुस्तक पढ़ी |

(Mainey ek pustak padhee .)

I  read a book.

14. आज रात मैं व्यस्त  (busy)  हूँ I

(Aaaj raat main byast huun.)

I am  busy tonight .

15. मुझे कार्य है   ,इसलिए  (therefore),  मैं नहीं आऊँगी |

( Mujhe kaary hai,isliye,  main nahin aaungee.)

I have  work, therefore, I will not come.

16.हालांकि  (however)  मैं कल  व्यस्त  (busy)  नहीं हूँ |

(Haalanki main kal vyast nahin huun. )

However,  I am  not busy tomorrow .

17.हम (we) इस (this) कीमत (price) पर  सहमत (agree) नहीं हैं |

( Hum is keemat par sahmat nahin hain. )

We do not agree at this price.

18.वह रेस्तरां  (restaurant)  कभी भी स्वच्छ  ( clean) नहीं रहता है|

(Vah restaraun kabhee bhee swatch  nahin rahta hai. )

That  restaurant   never  remains clean.

19.वह हमेशा (always)  देर  (late) से आती है |

(Vah hameshaa deyr se aatee hai. )

She  always comes  late.

20.मैं कैसे  (how)   अजायबघर (museum) का रास्ता (way)  पता लगाऊंगा   ?

(Main kaise Ajayabghar kaa raasta  pata lagaunga  .or Khojunga or dhundunga = search?)

How will I find out the way to the museum?

21.पिछले ( last) माह ( month)  बहुत गर्मी  (hot) थी |

(Pichley maah bahut garmee thee. )

Last month was very hot .

22.दिल्ली से अमेरिका सफ़र (travel) करने  का क्या ( what) भाड़ा (fare) लगेगा ?

(Dilli se America safar karney ka kya bhaada lagega? )

What will be the fare to travel    from Delhi to USA?

24.मै यहाँ तीन महीने (months) पहले (ago) आई थी|

(I Main yahan teen maheeney pahley aayee thee. )

I came here three months ago.

25.मैने न्यूयॉर्क के विश्वविद्यालय (University) में हिंदी का अध्ययन (study) किया I

(Mainey New York ke vishwavidhyalay mein Hindi ka adhyayan kiya. )

I   studied Hindi  at  the university of New York.

26.उसे अंगूर (grape) के रस पसंद (like) नहीं  हैं |

(Usey angoor ke ras pasand nahin hai.)

She does  not like grape juice.

27.मुझे अन्नानास (pineapple)  का रस (juice) बहुत पसंद है I

(Mujhe annanaas ka ras bahut pasand hai.)

I like pineapple juice very much.

28.वह  महिला (woman) कार नहीं चलाती (drive)  है|

(Vah mahila car nahin chalaatee hai. )

That woman does not drive the car.

29.मैं अपने साथ रूमाल (kerchief) लाना भूल गया (forgot)|

(Main apney saath roomaal laana bhool gaya. )

I forgot to bring along kerchief with me.

30.उसकी (his) माँ ने उसके  लिए भोजन (food) तैयार (prepare) किया है  |

(Uskee maa ne uskey liye bhojan taiyaar kiya hai. )

His mother has prepared food for him.

31.तुमने मेरी छतरी (umbrella) कहाँ  खो  (lost) दी है?

(Tumney merer chatree kahan kho dee hai? )

Where have you lost my umbrella?

32.मुझे तैरने (swim) में दौडने  (run)से ज़्यादा मज़ा (enjoy) आता है |

(Mujhe tairney mein daudney se jyaada maza aata hai.)

I enjoy swimming  more than running.

33.अगर मैं यह काम जल्दी (soon) पूरा (complete or finish) नहीं करती हूँ

तब आपसे नहीं मिल सकूँगी|

(Agar main yah kaam jaldee poora nahin karoongee tab

aapsey nahin mil akoongee.)

If I  do not complete this work soon, then  I will not be able to meet you .

(Main anpadh evam ganwaar huun.)

I am illiterate and rustic.

41.मैं जो कह (say) रही हूँ वह आप समझते हैं?

(Main jo kah rahee huun vah aap samajhtey(understand) hain?)

42.क्या हम चलें (go) और कुछ खाएं एवं पीयें ?

(Main avkaash par huun.)

( Main ek avkaash praapt sainik adhikaaree huun.)

I am a retired Military Officer.

47.मैं एक मित्र (friend) के साथ तिरुपति  जा रही हूँ|

(Main ek mitr ke saath Tirupati jaa rahee huun. )

I  am  going to Tirupati  with a friend (सहेली-sahelee  या  सखी –sakhee also means female friend for a female ).

48.फूल की दुकान (shop) कितने बजे बन्द (close) होती है ?

(Phool kee dookaan kitney bajey band hotee hai. )

What time does the flower shop close?

49.क्या आप इसको ठीक (fix) कर सकते हैं ?

(Kya aap isko theek kar saktey hain. )

Can you fix it.

50.दरवाजे  (door) का ताला (lock) गायब (missing) है |

(Darwajey ka taala gayab hai. )

The door lock is missing.

51.मैं  दोपहर का खाना (lunch)  खा रही हूँ  |

(Main dopahar ka khaana kha rahee huun.)

I am eating lunch.

52.इन औरतों (women) को नाटक (drama) बहुत पसंद आया |

( In auraton ko naatak bahut pasand  aaya. )

These women liked the drama very much.

53.वे अपने (their or own) कपडे (clothes) खुद (themselves or self)  धोते हैं |

(Ve apney kapdey kudh dhotey hain. )

They wash their clothes themselves .

54.उसने (he) उसकी (his) काफी नहीं पी  ?

( Usney uskee coffee nahin pee?)

He did not drink his coffee?
