एक बरगद के पेड़ पर बहुत से पक्षी रहते थे |
(Ek bargad ke ped par bahut se pakshee rahtey they.)
Many birds used to live in a banyan tree.
उनमें एक कौआ भी था |
Unmein ek kawa bhee ttha.)
Of them there was a crow too.
एक दिन चूहे ने बिल में से गर्दन बाहर निकाली |
(Ek din chuhey nay bill mein se garden baahar nikalee)
One day a rat took out neck from the burrow/hole.
उसने देखा कि सूर्य निकल आया है |
(Usnay dekha ki sury nikal aaya hai .)
He saw that sun has come out.
इतने में पेड़ की डाली पर बैठे कौए ने उसे देखा |
(Itnay mein ped kee daalee par baithey kawye ney usey dekha).
So, the crow sitting on a branch of the tree ,saw him.
कौआ बोला |
(Kauwa bola.)
Crow said
भैया चूहे !
(Bhaiya chuhey! )
Brother Rat
बाहर आओ |
(Baahar aao.)
Come out.
मेरे मित्र बन जाओ |
(Merey mitr ban jao.)
Be my friend.
इसी बीच ,वहाँ एक हिरन आया |
(Isee beech vahan ek hiran aaya.)
Meanwhile ,a deer came there.
कौआ, हिरन और चूहा तीनों मित्र बन गए |
(Kawa, hiran aur chuha teenon mitr ban gaye.)
The crow,the deer and the rat ,three became friends.
शाम हो गई |
Shaam ho gayee.
It became evening.
हिरन or हरिण नहीं लौटा |
(Hiran or harin nahin lauta.)
The deer did not return.
हिरण की खोज में, कौवा घने जंगल में जा पहुँचा|)
(Hiran kee khoj mein, kawa, ghaney jangal pahuncha.)
In search of deer , the crow reached in the dense forest.
उसने देखा कि हिरन एक शिकारी के जाल में फँसा हुआ है|
(Usnay dekha kie hiran ek shikaree ke jaal mein fansa hua hai.)
He was that the deer was trapped in the net of a hunter.]
उसने कहा — ” मित्र हिरन “
(Usnay kaha –“Mitr Hiran”)
He said – “ dear deer”
घबराओ मत |
(Ghabraao mat.)
Do not worry.
मैं अभी चूहे को लेकर आता हूँ |
(Main abhee chuhey ko lekar aata huun.)
I will just bring the rat.
कौआ तेज़ी से उड़कर बरगद के नीचे आया |
(Kauwa tejee se udkar bargard ke neechey aaya.,)
The crow came under banyan tree by flying quickly.
उसने चूहे को पुकारा |
(Usnay chuchey ko pukara. )
He called the rat.
चूहा तुरन्त बाहर आ गया |
(Chuha turant baahar aa gaya. )
The rat came out quickly.
वे दोनों तुरन्त वहाँ पहुँचे, जहाँ हिरन एक जाल में फंसा पड़ा था |
(Ve donon turant vahan pahunchey, jahan hiran ek jaal mein fansa pada tha.)
(They both immediately reached there where the deer was trapped in a net.)
कौआ एक पेड़ पर बैठ गया और कहा मैं शिकारी को देखता हूँ |
(Kawa ek ped par baith gaya aur kaha main shikaree ko dekhta huun.)
The crow sat on a tree and said, I see the hunter.
मित्र चूहे !
(Mitr chuhey )
Pal, Rat
तुम जल्दी से जाल कुतर डालो |”
tum jaldee se jaal kutar dalo. )
You bite/nibble the net quickly.
चूहे ने हिरन को मुक्त किया|
(Chuhey ney hiran ko mukt kiya.)
The rat freed the deer.
तब कौए ने सावधान किया कि शिकारी आ रहा है|
(Tab kawe nay saavadhaan kiya kie shikaree aa raha hai.)
Then crow alerted that the hunter is coming.
तीनों मित्र वहाँ से बच निकले |
(Teenon mitr vahan se bach nikley)
Three friends escaped from there.
