LESSON No.109 (one hundred nine) लघु कथाएँ (laghu kathaeyn)short stories : Vol. I or laghu(chotee) kahaniyan लालची लोमड़ी (Lalchee lomadee) Greedy Fox.
एक दिन एक भूखा (hungry) लोमड़ी (fox) अंगूर (grapes) के बगान (garden) में गया |
(Ek din ek bhookha lomdee angoor ke bagaan (bageechey) mein gaya). One day a hungry fox went into the garden of grapes.
बेलों (लताओं ) पर अंगूर के गुच्छे (bunch) लटक रहे थे |
(Belon(lataon) par angoor ke gucchey latak rahay the.)
The bunch of grapes were hanging on the vines (creepers).
यह देखकर लोमड़ी के मुंह में पानी आ गया |
(Yeh dekhkar lomadee ke munh mein pane aa gaya.)
Seeing this, fox’s mouth became watery.(It means he became greedy).
मुंह ऊपर ले जाकर , उसने अंगूरों तक पहुँचने ( or पहुँच पाने ) के लिए कोशिश की |
( Munh oopar le jaakar, usney angooron tak pahunchaney (paanay) kay liye koshish kee. )
Taking his mouth up, he tried to reach (get) the grapes.
पर वह सफल (success) न हो सका |
( Par vah safal n ho saka. )
But he could not succeed.
अंगूरों का गुच्छा (bunch) काफी ऊचाइयों (height) पर लटक (hang) रहा था |
(Angooron ka gucchaa kaafee oochaiyon par latak raha tha.)
The bunch of gapes were hanging on quite a height.
उन्हें पाने के लिए लोमड़ी काफी (enough) उछला (jump) |
(Unhein panay ke liye lomdee kafee oochla. )
Fox jumped enough to get them.
वह फिर भी अंगूर तक न पहुँच (reach) सका |
(Vah phir bhee angoor tak n pahunch saka.)
He still could not reach upto the grapes.
जब तक वह पूरा थक (tired) न गया , तब तक उछलता (jump) रहा |
(Jab tak vah poora thank na gaya, tab tak oochalta raha. )
Until he was not exhausted, till then he continued to jump up.
अंत में , थक कर उसने आशा (उम्मीद) छोड़ दी |
(Ant mein thakar usnay aasha(ummeed )chhoad dee. )
Ultimately, after getting exhausted (tired), he left the hope.
वह बाद में वहां से चला गया |
(Bah baad mein vahan se chala gaya.)
At last, he went from there.
जाते जाते उसने कहा , कि अंगूर खट्टे (sour) हैं |
( Jatay jatay usney kaha, kie angoor khanteey hain. )
While going, he stated that the grapes are sour.
ऐसे खट्टे (sour) अंगूर कौन (who) खायगा |
( Aisey khattey angoor kaun khayagaa. )
Who will eat such sour grapes.
हमे इससे क्या सबक (lesson) मिलती है ?
(Issey hamey kya shiksha miltee hai ?)
What lesson do we get from this?
लालच (greed) करना एक बुरी (bad) बात है |
(Lobh karna ek buree baat hai. )
Greediness is a bad thing to do..
