प्रश्न : आपका नाम क्या है?
(Prashn:Aaapka naam kyaa hai ?)
Question: What is your name?
मेरा नाम नम्रता है| feminine,present tense
(Mera naam namrata hai.)
My name is Namrata.
प्रश्न : आपकी आयु/ उम्र क्या है?
(Prashn : Aapkee aayu/umr kya hai ?)
Question:How old are you?
Or
आप कितने साल/वर्ष की हैं ? with respect,Hence aap (you) &hain used.
(Aap kitney saal/varsh kee hain?)
How many year’s old are you?
उत्तर :मेरी आयु छप्पन वर्ष की है |
(Uttar: Mayree aayu chhappan varsh kee hai. )
Answer: My age is fifty –six years.
Or
तुम कितने वर्ष /साल की हो ?
(Tum kitnay varsh/saal kee ho?)
How old are you?
मैं छप्पन वर्ष/साल की हूँ|
(Main chappan varsh/saal kee huun.)- feminine. If masculine, Ka will be used
I am fifty six year’s old.
सुरेश पूछता है,आप कैसी हैं ?
(Suresh poochtaa hai. Aaap kaisee hain?)
Suresh asks, how are you?
नम्रता जवाब देती है, मैं अच्छी हूँ |
(Namrata jawaab detee hai, main acchhee huun.)
Namrata answers, I am good.
वह कौन है?
(Vah kaun hai?)
Who is she?
वह सरस्वती है|
(Vah Saraswati hai.)
She is Saraswati.
वह मेरी सखी/सहेली है |
(Vah meree Sakhee/sahelee hai.)
She is my friend . ( only used for female friend by a women/girl.
श्याम मेरा जिगरी or अभिन्न मित्र/ दोस्त है |
(Shyam mera jigaree or abhinn mitr/dost hai.)
Shyam is my best or intimate/bossom friend.
मैं उससे बेहद प्यार करती हूँ |
(main ussey behad pyaar kartee huun.)
I am madly in love with him.( limitless)
श्याम, तुम कहाँ के रहने वाले हो|
(Shyaam tum kahan ke rahney waley ho?
Shyam, where do you hail from or belong to ?
मैं भारत का एक निवासी हूँ ? or रहने वाला हूँ ?
(Main Bharat ka ek niwasee huun ? or rahaney waalaa huun ?
I am a resident of India.
मैं भारतीय हूँ परन्तु or लेकिन मैं फ्रांस में बस गयी हूँ |
(main Bharateey huun parantu or lekin main France bas gayee huun.)
I am an Indian but I am settled in France.
मै आप सबको दोपहर के भोजन का न्योता दे रहा हूँ or पर आमंत्रित कर रहा हूँ |
(Main aap sabko dopahar ke bhojan ka nyota de raha huun or par aamantrit kar raha huun.)
I am inviting all of you at lunch.
