{ Suresh 265} : Poem Watch घड़ी ( Ghadee )

छोटी (small) सी हूँ फिर (still)  भी लेकिन (but) बडे (great ) काम (work/help) की मानी जाती हूँ |
(Chotee see huun phir bhee lekin baday kaam kee maanee jaatee huun.)
I am small but I am still considered of a great use/help.


सदा (always/) समय ( time ) की पाबंदी ( importance/adherence )  में रखना  सबको सिखलाती (teach )  हूँ  |


(Sada samay kee paabandee mein rakhna sabko siklaatee huun. )


I teach everyone the importance of keeping up the time (punctuality).




कभी (sometimes)  जेब (pocket)  पर पडी (lying) ठुमकती (dance) ,तो कभी कलाई (wrist) पर (on ) बंध (tied ) जाती हूँ |


(Kabhee zeb par padee thumkatee, to kabhee kalayee par bandh jaatee huun. )


Sometimes I dance lying in the pocket, then  sometimes I am tied on the wrist.




कभी ठाट ( elegantly)  से,  मेज (table) पर बैठ कर, मैं अपनी  राग (melody)  सुनाती रहती हूँ |


(Kabhee thaat say mez par bauith kar,apnee raag sunaatee rahtee huun.)


Sometimes ,I make other's listen to the melody ,sitting elegantly on a table,




छोटी (small) हूँ पर घंटाघर (tower-clock) के ऊपर  होती  बहुत (very) बड़ी (big) हूँ |


Chhotee huun par ghantaaghar ke oopar hotee bahut badee huun.)


I am small but I am very big (great ) compared to /on  the tower-clock.




आप सोच( thinking )  रहे होगे ( will be )  कि मैं क्या हूँ , मैं तो केवल ( only ) एक घड़ी हूँ |


(Aaap Soch rahey hongay main kyan huun, main to kewal ek ghadee huun. )


You Will be thinking that what I am, I am only a watch.

I am Suresh.   I spent 30 years in  the state of Bihar/Jharkhand.  My mother
 tongue is Tamil.    I studied in Hindi medium till graduation(commerce). 
I have passion for Hindi. I teach Hindi  via online ,currently .  I also undertake
 translation assignments.

 I served a US NGO for 29 years in  India and abroad. I have submitted
