कौन (Kaun) = who :
मुझे कौन पुकार (call) रहा था ? ( Mujhey kaun pukaar raha tha.?) Who was calling me?
गया (Gaya) = went -(masculine)
वह घर गया । ( Vah ghar gaya.) = He went home
रास्ता (Rasta) = way/path
यह रास्ता संकीर्ण (narrow) है । ( Yah raastaa sankeern hai. ) This path is narrow.
किया (Kiya) = done :
तुमने आज क्या किया है ? ( Tumney aaj kya kiya hai? What have you done today?
सोना (Sona) = to sleep, gold :
मैं सोना चाहता हूँ । ( Main sonaa chahtaa huun.) I want to sleep or I want gold.
पानी (Paanee) = water :
पानी के बिना (without ) जीवन निरर्थक ( meaningless ) है । ( Paanee ke bina jeevan nirarthak hai. ) The life is meaningless without water.
मिल (Mil) = meet :
वह रोज मिलता है । ( Vah road miltaa hai.) He meets daily.
लोग (Loag) = people :
लोग मुझे कुछ कहना चाहते हैं । ( Loag mujhey kuchh kahnaa chahtey hain. ) The people want to tell me something.
सका (Sakaa) = could (masculine)
अंत में मैं यह कार्य खुद समाप्त कर सका । (Ant mein main yah kaary khud samaapt kar sakaa. ) At last I could finish this work by myself.
बनाया (Banaaya) = built :
मैने यह घर बनाया । ( Mainey yah ghar banaayaa .) I built this home.
पहले (Pehley) = before /already :
वह पहले ही जा चुका था । ( Vah pahley jaa chukaa tha. ) He had already gone .
आराम (Aaram) = rest, relax :
अब हमें आराम करना चाहिए । ( Ab hamein aaraam karna chahiye.) – We should rest/relax now.
आना (Aana) = to come, come :
रामू, कल फिर आ जाना । ( Ramu kal fir aa jaana ) . Ram come back tomorrow ( again).
अब (Ab) = now :
अब मुझे घर जाने दो | ( Ab mujhey ghar jaaney do. Let me go home now.
दोपहर (Dopahar) = noon :
हम दोपहर का भोजन साथ करेंगे । ( Ham dopahar ka bhojaan saath karegney.) We will take/have lunch together.
रात (Raat) = night :
मैं रात को जल्द ( soon) सोना पसंद करता हूँ । ( Main raat ko jald sonaa pasand kartaa huun. ) I like to sleep at night soon.
पीना (Peena) = to drink :
हम छाछ ( butter-milk) पीना चाहते हैं । ( Ham chhaachh peenaa chahtey hain. ) We want to drink butter-milk.
नीचे (Neeche) = below :
मैने नीचे गाडी ( car/vehicle) खडी कर दी है । ( Mainey neechey gaadee khadee kar dee hai. ) I have parked the car below.
दिन (Din) = day :
मैं दिन भर भूखा रहा । ( main din bhar bhookhaa raha.) I remained hungry all day long.
भाग (Bhag) = part /portion:
मुझे मेरा भाग चाहिए । ( Mujhey mera bhaag chahiye.) I want my part/portion.
भी (Bhī) = also, as well, too :
तुम भी मेरे साथ चलो । ( Tum bhee merey saath chalo.) You also come with me.
दो (do)- two/give :
उसे दो रुपये दे दो | ( use do rupaye dey do.) Give two rupees to him.
