उपदेश (updesh)
दूसरों के जैसे बनने का प्रयास ( try) भूल ( mistake) कर भी न करें ,अन्यथा ( otherwise )
आप अपना मूल ( original ) स्वरुप ( form) खो देंगे |
(Doosaron ke jaisey bananey ka prayaas bhool kar bhee na karein, anytha
aap apnaa mool swaroop kho dengey.)
Do not try to be like others by mistake,
otherwise you will lose your originality(original form.)
शरीर जल से ,आत्मा ( soul) धर्म से और बुद्धि ( wisdom) ज्ञान (knowledge)
से पवित्र ( purified) होती है|
(Shareer jal se , aatmaa charm sey aur buddhi gyaan se pavitr hotee hai.)
The body with water, soul/Spirit with religion and wisdom with Knowledge
gets purified.(i.e.becomes sacred.)
आप योगी ( monk) न बन सके कोई बात नहीं, परन्तु उपयोगी ( useful) तो अवश्य ही बनें |
(Aaap yogee na ban sakey koi baat nahin, parantu upyogee to avashy banein. |
You could not become a monk/hermit, does not matter ,but must be useful.
जो सूर्योदय (sun rise) और सूर्यास्त ( sun set ) के समय सोता है उस प्राणी ( living creature ) को
धन ( wealth) की देवी -goddess (लक्ष्मी) छोड़ देती है |
(Jo suryoday aur suyaas ke samay sota hai us praanee ko
dhan kee devee (Lakshmee ) chhod detee hai.)
Who sleeps during the time of sun rise and the sunset,
the Goddess of wealth(Lakshmee) leaves that living creature.
नहाये धोये ( washing) क्या भला ( good) , जो मन का मैल (dirt) न जाए |
(Nahaaye dhoye kya bhlaa jo man ka maiyl na jaaye.)
What is good ( or the point )in taking bath,washing, when the
dirt of mind does not go away,
मीन ( fish) सदा जल में रहे, धोये बास( bad odour/putrid smell) न जाए |
(meen sada jal mein rahey, dhoye, baas na jaaye.)
The pisces(fish) always remain in water, the putrid smell
won't go away despite washing .
जीवन(life) में आधी समस्याएं (problems) सिर्फ इसलिए हैं,
कि हम बिना सोचे समझे कार्य करते हैं,
(Jeevan mein aadhee samasyaayein sirf isliye hain,
ki ham bina sochey samajhye kaary kartey hain,)
We have half of the problems in the life because,
we do the work without thinking only.
और आधी (half) इसलिए कि हम सोचते ( think) रहते हैं,
और कुछ नहीं करते.
(Aur aadhee isliye ki ham sochatey rahtey hain,
aur kuchh nahin kartey.)
And the remaining half is due to the reason that
we keep on thinking and do not do anything.
जो बीत गया सो बीत ( past) गया, सिर्फ भविष्य ( future)
की चिंता (worry ) करो ।
(Jo beet gaya so beet gaya, sirf bhavishya kee chinta karo.)
Bygone is bygone, just worry about the future.
संसार ( world) में चार ( four) प्रकार के व्यक्ति (person) दुखी (sad) हैं,
(Sansaar mein chaar prakaar ke vyakti dukhee hain,)
There are four types of the people unhappy in the world,
अपने दुःख से दुखी हैं,दूसरों के दुःख से दुखी हैं ,जो बिना ( without)
किसी वजह ( reason) से दुखी हैं, जो दूसरों के सुख ( pleasure) के कारण (reason ) दुखी हैं,
(Apney dukh se dukhee hain, doosraon ke dukh se dukhee hain,
jo bina kisee vajah se dukhee hain, jo doosaron key sukh ke
kaaraan dukhee hain.)
Unhappy with own grief, saddened by the sorrow of others,
who are unhappy for no reason, who are unhappy due to
the pleasure of others.
