I recently made an interesting discovery regarding the word “apaar” – “boundless” (from Sanskrit). A similar word was used by Anaximander (a philosopher from Ancient Greece) to describe, what is presumably to be the world’s first written metaphysical thought. Funny how most of today’s philosophers believe, that Anaximander had invented the concept of Apeiron. In the end it seems to be just another idea stolen from India. :D

You will be surprised to know there are many English language words of Hindi language origin. Some of them are
Bandanna – from Bandhna to tie a scarf around the head.
Chutney – from चटनी chatni, meaning “to crush”
Dacoit – from डकैत् Dakait, meaning a member of a class of criminals who engage in organized robbery and murder.
Loot – from LooT लूट, meaning ‘steal’
    ETC
