That’s cheating a little ;) Haha, but still that’s very impressive! I’ve counted to 44 now But even I’ve cheated a bit because for example we can count लिख (the तू imperative of as लिखना ) well as लिखना.

Bad’haaii ho, bhaai saahb! cool idea. I found 31 words but maybe wasn’t playing by rules of short/long vowels. ”acchaa kaam” ;)

As far as I’m aware the word Hindu comes from right back to the Sanskrit word सिन्धु sindhu meaning “river or the Indus”. Then there’s the Arabic -stan meaning land of. etc etc. Definitely an interesting word…[Read more]

Shábásh! These are good. Made me think a bit how for Hindi-learners, at least some Urdu awareness is helpful to understand 2 systems for the same Hindi/Urdu phonetics & how they work.
