How does it look?

This letter starts out like ट with the line at the top, a little line that comes down, and the half circle of a loop to the left.  Then it loops around at the end, just like ढ but the end of the little loop the end goes through the big loop.  You are basically adding a tail to the loop of ढ.

At the End

याद - to remember; to memorize

बाद - after


With other vowels

दरिद्री  - poor, needy

नदी - river

दरिंदा - beast of prey

दर्द - pain

दादा - paternal grandfather (father's father)

दादी - paternal grandmother (father's mother)

दंत - tooth
